My personal interest in finding the best solutions to help people overcome their problems led me to study for a Diploma in CBH at the College of Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy. I am committed to personal and professional development and have continued my own health related studies for more than 20 years. In addition to qualifications as a Lecturer in Nursing and as a Health Visitor, I have a Master’s Degree in Health Promotion, specializing in mental health promotion. I also have Diplomas in Clinical Hypnosis, and in Existential Counselling and Psychotherapy.
My work in organisations has included developing health promotion strategies for private and public sector clients, and developing and leading courses in stress management, relaxation, communication skills, and smoking cessation. I have also developed and delivered training courses in Emotional Intelligence for teachers and other school staff.
More recently I have been helping managers with personal and professional development. My work as a Consultant in Emotional Wellbeing for a local Education department over a three year period enabled me to use CBT with groups of employees in educational settings. In that context I have been helping individuals with issues related to relationships, confidence and performance, low self esteem, work-life imbalance, anxiety, lack of communication, and lack of assertiveness skills.
In my private practice I have helped clients with problems such as phobia, stress, weight, IBS, performance anxiety, and smoking cessation.
I am a Full member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
I practise in Central London and St Albans.
